Scayled Inbox Extension — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 31 August 2026
1. What this covers
This policy applies to the Scayled Inbox browser extension. The Scayled web application is covered separately by our main Privacy Policy.
Scayled Inbox helps commercial real estate professionals draft outreach emails in their own Gmail or Outlook web client. It is a companion to a Scayled account and does nothing on its own.
2. What the extension stores
When you send a list of companies from Scayled to the extension, it stores that list — company names, contact names, job titles and business email addresses — together with the email template you are using. It is held in your browser’s local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your own device.
3. Where that data goes
Nowhere. The extension has no server of its own. It does not transmit the stored list, your drafts, or anything else to Scayled or to any third party. The data stays in your browser until you remove the batch or uninstall the extension.
We do not sell this data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. What the extension does not access
- It does not read your inbox or your existing messages.
- It does not read your address book or saved contacts.
- It does not have your password, and it does not use OAuth.
- It cannot send email. It fills in a compose window that you review and send yourself.
5. Permissions and why they exist
- Gmail and Outlook web addresses— the extension runs on these pages solely to open the mail client’s own compose window and fill the recipient, subject and message fields. It reads no other part of the page.
- Storage — to keep the list you sent over until you act on it, so it is still there when you switch to your mail tab.
- Messages from scayled.com — so the Scayled app can hand the extension a list of contacts you have chosen. Only pages on scayled.com can do this.
6. Deleting your data
Use Remove this batchin the extension panel to clear a list, or uninstall the extension to remove everything it has stored. Uninstalling deletes the extension’s local storage entirely.
7. Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
